Whitewater Preserve Ride, 01-23-2013

Mt. San Jacinto from just below the fish ponds at the Whitewater Preserve.
Mt. San Jacinto from San Rafael Rd.
Freshly squished rattlesnake just south of the Whitewater Cutoff overpass.  First time I have seen a rattlesnake that has been out during the month of January.
Hills and sky from parking lot of Whitewater Preserve.
Today's ride: 33 1/2 miles, Whitewater Preserve, out-and-back, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/265281359 .
Today's ride was dedicated to my Redcatcher Cyber-Squad brothers who are living through sub-freezing weather in the midwestern and northeastern U.S.  The weather is perfect here: 70's, overcast, and no wind.  This is one of my favorite rides in the Coachella Valley and it was as good as ever on today's ride.
