Beautiful day, warm ride, some bit of headwind coming out of the south on the way back to Palm Springs.  The Hiway 62 sign says, "High Winds Ahead" but that proved to be an overstatement.

Snow Creek Village, Out-and-Back, 12-20-2011

Mt. San Jacinto Peak:  looks like a wind is blowing up there.  At this point just north of Windy Point on Hiway 111 I had a strong tailwind.  It was pretty much windless until Windy Point.

 Pacific Crest Trail at the Snow Creek Rd. Crossing.  Canada north an Mexico south with climbs in both directioms.

USMC Wounded Warrior Handcyclist, 11-10-2011

This young Marine was one of a group of cyclists, including other Wounded Warriors and other veterans, who accompanied Tim Esser as he started his current cross-country ride from the Fantasy Springs Casino to Baghdad, Arizona raising funds and bringing awareness to veterans' issues.  Good luck Tim!
