Ultimate Touring Rig, 07-16-2015

Natividad riding Vista Chino near Landau Rd.  He is a bicycle mechanic camping between Palm Springs and Cabazon... says it is "windy" out there.  No kidding, that's what the windmills told me when I took a look at them at the beginning of this morning's ride.  He extended the frame on his bike by welding another bike frame onto the rear of his bike for the extra stability in carrying a heavy load.  He says he will turn 70 years old in two months... Happy Birthday!

Donated Bicycles for Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Springs and Mecca, 07-03-2015

Today community volunteers cleaned and refurbished 150 bikes of all sizes, kinds and functionality for the Coachella Valley Bicycle Coalition's annual bike donation drive benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Mecca and Palm Springs.  Thanks to Hot Purple Energy for allowing this work to be done on their premises.
