Beautiful Even While Dead, 12-31-2012

This young coyote's life came to an end on south-bound Highway 111 just south of Snow Creek Road.
This is Thomas experimenting with moving timelapse photography in the wash just north of the Windy Point Bridge.
Tipton Rd. RR Crossing with Mt. San Jacinto as backdrop.

Today's ride: 25 miles, Tipton Rd. overland hike-a-bike to Snow Creek Rd. out-and-back, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/256334551 .

Preventive Maintenance with Beer, 12-28-2012

Very nice ride today: 27 miles, Whitewater Cut-Off Loop, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/255106994 .  Clear, cool morning with only a small breeze.  My last ride had been in the rain on wet streets making for a filthy bike, so I treated myself to an after-ride cleaning of the equipment.  A perfect day for it all... life is good.

Back in the Saddle Again, 12-17-2012

I'm finally back on the bike.  I got hit with some gastro-intestinal bug that took me out for about a week.  It was rough.

Bonked on Dunn Rd, 12-06-2012

Me on Dunn Rd. after trying mountain biking for the 3rd time.  After 11 miles of hike-a-biking and bike-a-biking, I hit the exhausted stage.  I've felt better after losing a fight.
Today's ride: 11 miles, Dunn Rd. plus bike trail loop, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/249743195 .

Today's ride was a first road ride for the team as they get used to their equipment, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/248095461 .

Sentinel Power Plant, 11-23-2012

Today's ride: 26 miles, Dillon Rd. Loop, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/246010533 .
I had a very interesting meet-up and chat with John this morning. He is an ex-racing cyclist from northern Ireland who has raced in Europe and the U.S. He was very helpful in making suggestions for me in my pursuit of acquiring a mountain bike. Thanks John.
End of the pavement on West Garnet Rd.  This road spur has been resurfaced.  It would be so nice as a cycling loop if the road was paved all the way to the Whitewater Cut Off, which is probably less than a mile away.  I used a break in the fencing to access the Hwy 62 on-ramp and I rode 62 north to Dillon Rd.
