I believe that Gary and I are the first to complete this ride of the Whitewater Channel from Palm Springs to the Salton Sea. This ride across golf courses and CVWD access land is proof the the Whitewater River Trail already exists if access was allowed. The weather was perfect, though we did nearly run out of water and the last 15 miles were hard for me, being that I usually ride a road bike and this dirt riding proved a challenge toward the end.

ReplyDeleteI've done that first part of your ride, through the golf course and along the bridge (where the trail is virtually non-existant). Its awful! Had to walk my bike through soft dirt and cactus and trash... glad you got past it all the way to the Sea.
